RICHMOND — Larry Wayne Conner, 46, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at his home.
He was born September 30, 1967, in Richmond, Kentucky, to Charles L. and Sue Conner.
Larry drove a school bus for Madison County Schools for nine years and for Fayette County Schools for seven years. He enjoyed working as a volunteer for five years at Vapor-Stix.
Larry took great pride in and loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Zoey. He loved to tell jokes and was always full of laughter. He always enjoyed driving any kind of a motorized vehicle, including toy vehicles as a child.
In addition to his parents, Charles and Sue of Richmond, he is survived by: two sons, Lloyd Conner (Sarah) and Taylor Conner (Genie), both of Richmond; two sisters, Mary Johnson of Richmond and Joanna Drake (Greg) of Cincinnati; and his granddaughter, Zoey Conner.
He also leaves: his niece and caregiver, Melissa Johnson (Jon); nephews Jonathan Johnson (Kristie) and Austin Drake; great-nephews Dylan Johnson, Peyton Johnson, Jonathan Weaver; great-niece Kaytlyn Johnson; expecting another great-nephew, Preston Johnson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Larry’s extended family also includes Marlin Sanders, Lee Sanders, Jim Sanders, Lisa Hall Jones and many, many friends.
A celebration of Larry’s life will take place 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Sister Terry Conner officiating.
Visitation will be from noon until service time on Saturday.
