MADISON COUNTY — Philip “Big Phil” Hollister Reisig II, 20, of Madison County, died January 1, 2014.

Philip was born June 12, 1993, in Boca Raton, Florida, to Lori Reisig and John Philip Reisig.

A student at Eastern Kentucky University with a 3.8 GPA, Philip was a very hard worker with a strong work ethic. He was a wonderful son, brother and friend who loved to workout, play basketball and football. He was a graduate of St. Mark Catholic School, the Madison Central Class of 2011 Snowball King and a person who loved a good philosophical discussion.

In addition to his parents, Philip is survived by: two brothers, John Philip “John John” Reisig Jr., Joseph “Joey” Nickolas Reisig; and one sister, Angelica Marie Reisig, all of Richmond; aunts and uncles, Anthony and Hadley Reisig, Christopher and Ashley Reisig, Tina Korell and Joseph Wart; paternal grandparents, Philip and Eugenia Reisig; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, M. Viola Hall.

Services will be conducted Monday, January 6, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Eastside Community Church in Richmond, Kentucky, burial to follow at the Richmond Cemetery, with Tim Jones and Virgil Grant officiating.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014, at the Church.

Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home in Richmond, Kentucky, is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be John John Reisig, Joey Reisig, Raymond White, Matt Reed, Micah Lainhart, Turner Curtis, Sam Elliott, Erica Rhodus and Kelsey Byers.
