Charlie Christopher, 82
Charlie Clay Christopher, 82, husband of Thelma Christopher, died, Tuesday, December 4, 2012, in the Terrace Nursing Facility of Berea.
Mr. Christopher was born, December 18, 1929, in Madison County, the son of the late William Elmer and Fannie Foster Christopher. He was a retired farmer and a member of Grace Wesleyan Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: one daughter, Virgie Callahan (Donald), Richmond; two brothers, Roger Christopher and William “Buck” Christopher, both of Kokomo, Ind.; one sister, Lillie Jackson, Nashville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Chris and Jason Rhorer, Richmond.
He was preceded in death by: one brother, Lonnie Christopher, and four sisters, Elizabeth Lewis, Linda Ashcraft, Fern Snow and Mary Bruno.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012, at the Combs, Parsons and Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Art Hobbs officiating.
Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robert E. Land, Gary D. Portwood Jr., Gary White, Alex Johnson, Seth Johnson and Terry Rhorer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bailey Griggs, Orbin Long and Glyndon Dargavell.

Mrs. Ethel Abrams Lakes, 84, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at the Compassionate Care Center.
Mrs. Lakes was born June 13, 1930, in Rockcastle County to James and Delia Johnson Abrams.
She was retired from Brown & Williams Tobacco Company in Lexington. She was a faithful listener of the WLJC Gospel Broadcast and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Hardy was born November 12, 1912, in Valley View, Kentucky. She was a homemaker, a retired seamstress and was of the Baptist faith.

A native of Richmond, Kentucky, he was the son of Marcus and Johnetta Arch Winburn, both of whom preceded him in death. Gary had been an employee of the former Begley Drug Company and was a retired employee of Car Quest Auto Parts Store. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Richmond.
