Elsie Still, 70

MADISON COUNTY — Elsie Louise Still, 70, passed away Wednesday morning, June 12, 2013, in the Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.

She was born in Estill County on  February 11, 1943, the daughter of the late Isaac Thomas and Mary Shearor Sparks.

She was a retired facilities engineer for the Anderson County School System. She was a member of the John F. Marshall Memorial Holiness Church.

Survivors include: three sons, Jimmy Still (Sheri) of Pace, Florida, Gary Still (Rebecca) of Winchester and Carl Still (Sharon) of Richmond; one daughter, Betty Still Dickerson of Richmond; and their father, James Still; five brothers, James Sparks, Sidney Sparks, Herman Sparks, Johnny Sparks and Earl Sparks Jr.; two sisters, Lillian Culton and Coffa Embry; 10 grandchildren, James Still (Mandy), Alicia Branum (Jack), Candice Tuttle (Allen), Amber Still, Anthony Dickerson (Tracy), Sarah Dickerson, William Still (Ariel), Spencer Still, Jordan Still (Brittany) and Drew Hedge; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Tuttle, Emily Tuttle and Isaiah Still; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: three brothers, Delbert Sparks, William Sparks and Glyndon Sparks; and two sisters, Annie B. and Nannie B. Sparks.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Marshall and Rev. Charley Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
