Clyde M. Morris, 87

BEREA —

Clyde M. Morris, age 87, husband of the late Ferrall Morris, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at the St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington.
Clyde was born in Meigs County, Ohio, to the late Dailey Vale Morris and Evea Mae McLaughlin.
He was a member of the Glades Christian Church, a U.S. Army WWII veteran, having served in the European Theatre of Operations, and a lifelong member of the American Legion.
Clyde was a retired forestry technician with the U.S. Forest Service. He enjoyed fishing and traveling, and after retirement he worked for Operation BASS as assistant tournament director, which allowed him to enjoy both.
Clyde is survived by: his daughters, Brenda (Randall) Pridemore of Fortville, Ind., Janie (Larry) Secchi of Richmond, Ky., Roberta (Gary) Miller of Lexington, Ky., and Bonita Hardy of Plano, Texas; his grandchildren, Eric (Betsy) Pridemore, Joel Hart, Brennan and Brett Hardy; and his great-grandchildren, Maddie, Aubrey and Sam Pridemore and Audrina Hart; one brother, Clayton (Jewel) Morris of Columbus, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Lakes Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Fulton officiating. Burial will be in the Berea Cemetery.
Grandsons and sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Lakes Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m.
In memory of Clyde Morris, donations may be made to the Glades Christian Church, 530 Glades Road, Berea, KY 40403.
