Warren Ray Berry, 65

Mt. Vernon — Warren Ray Berry, 65, of Mt. Vernon, died Friday, February 14, 2014, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, of complications from treatment of multiple myeloma.

He was a native of Madison County, born to the late Herbert Berry and his mother, Alta Todd Berry Lakes, of Corbin.

He was a member of the Berea United Methodist Church and was formerly a member of Highpoint Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Somerset, Ky.

He retired in 2011 as a Chartered Financial Consultant and Certified Life Underwriter from Warren Berry & Associates in Somerset. He was a family man, loved to fish and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.

Mr. Berry is survived by: his wife, Linda Smith Berry of Mt. Vernon; his son, Philip Berry (Stephanie) of Mt. Vernon; his sisters, Sandra Spenneberg of Darlington, Indiana, Wanda Campbell (W.L.) of Corbin, Ky.; his brother, Kenneth Berry (Betty) of Berea.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Linda Berry.

Funeral services for Mr. Berry will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Berea United Methodist Church with Rev. John Contini and Rev. Philip Bradley officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Highpoint Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 190 Longview Road, Somerset, Kentucky, and from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the Berea United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Scaffold Cane Cemetery.
