Mary Alice Howe, 79

MADISON COUNTY — Mary Alice Howe, 79, mother of Ronnie W. Howe, passed away Wednesday morning, January 22, 2014, at Richmond Health and Rehab-Kenwood in Richmond, Kentucky.

She was born February 25, 1934, to the late Henry and Maggie Spears Howe, also of Richmond.

Mary enjoyed throughout her life caring for others and spending lots of time with family. Some of her favorite pastimes included working puzzles, playing bingo with family and friends and watching Westerns on TV. You could often catch her sitting outside enjoying the outdoors.

Survivors include: her son Ronnie (Connie) Howe of Richmond, Ky.; two sisters, Linda (Bill) Johnson of Lexington, Ky., and Norma Godsey of Dayton, Ohio.

Ms. Howe is also survived by: two grandchildren, Amy (Camiel) Habets and Jennifer (Allen) Goins, both of Richmond, Ky.; two great-grandchildren; Kylie Goins and Elena Habets; and a host of friends and extended family.

Besides her parents, Ms. Howe was preceded in death by: three brothers, Arthur Howe, Robert Howe and Marvin Howe; and one sister, Pearl Crippin.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the Combs, Parsons, and Collins Funeral Home, West Main Street. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Camiel Habets, Allen Goins, Tom Barnes, Richard Green, Bruce Barnes, and Tyler Hunter.
