Dana June O’Donnell Hoover, 64

Union City — Dana June O’Donnell Hoover, 64, of Union City, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014, at the UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.

Dana was born in Madison County, Kentucky, on February 20, 1949, the daughter of the late Clarence and Lydia Snowden O’Donnell.

She was a bank teller at Park Federal Credit Union and a member of the Union City Baptist Church for over 20 years.

Mrs. Hoover enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping and working with her flowers. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of the Union City Baptist Church WMU.

Mrs. Hoover is survived by: her husband of 47 years, Carl Hoover; one son, Tim Karl Hoover (fiancée, Rhonda); one daughter, Sara Kristin Hoover (Michael); one brother, Harold O’Donnell (Hazel); six grandchildren, Kevin, Jacob, Brody, Kayla, Hannah and Ashley; as well as numerous other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Dana was preceded in death by a son, Carrie Lee Hoover.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2014, at the Union City Baptist Church, 2502 Doylesville Road, Richmond, with Bro. James Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Pallbearers will be: David O’Donnell, Steven O’Donnell, Freddie Terrell, Mike Hoover, Mark Hoover and Derek Agee.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Union City WMU.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union City Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.

The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, West Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
