Springfield, Ohio —
Nina E. Shaffer, 84, of Springfield, Ohio, died Saturday, January 11, 2014, in Tampa, Florida.
She was born in Xenia, Ohio, on May 5, 1929, the daughter of Abram and Nina L. (Tedrick) Burrell.
She retired from Security National Bank after 52 years of service. She was a member of First Christian Church of Springfield, Fort Nightly Musical Club, Shrine Widows Club and worked for many years at the Clark County (Ohio) Fair.
Survivors include her two children, Gary (Melanie) Shaffer of Richmond, Kentucky, and Shari Shaffer of Tampa, Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Albert (Sue) Burrell of Ocala, Florida; two grandchildren, Rick and Sarah; three nieces, Sally Riley, Heather Groff and Cara Richmond; and nephew, Jeff Burrell and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 1996.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Conroy Funeral Home of Springfield, Ohio. Her funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Marty Frazer officiating. Burial will be in Somerford Cemetery.
