Ruby Ross Lynch, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. She was the widow of Wheeler Lynch.
Mrs. Lynch was born March 16, 1922, in Booneville, Kentucky, the daughter of Matt and Rachael Begley Ross, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Richmond Church of Christ, where she was the second oldest member. Mrs. Lynch enjoyed quilting, cooking and gardening.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sandra Sue Palmiter (Ed) of Louisville; one son, Jimmy D. Lynch (Dolly) of Richmond; three grandchildren, Kimberly Wray, Jason Palmiter and D-Anne Ross Lynch; five great-grandchildren, Blake Wray, Damon Wray, Kristina Wray Divens, Jimmye Ann Johnston and Mari-Lou Johnston; one brother, Bobby Ross of Berea; and three sisters, Gwen Price and Freida McWhorter, both of Hamilton, Ohio, and Gladys Ledbetter of Muncie, Indiana.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: a granddaughter, Jimmye Lou Lynch; a brother, Leon Ross; and three sisters, Kathryn Ross, Eudella Cole and Irma Lakes.
Funeral services for Ruby Lynch will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice Compassionate Care Center or to the Richmond Church of Christ vision fund.
