RICHMOND — James Earl Hutchison, 74, of Brandenburg, Kentucky, formerly of Richmond, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014, at the Hospice Compassionate Center of Richmond.

He was born September 6, 1939, in Madison County, to Lucy Dunn Hutchison and the late Rev. E. C. Hutchison. James was a meat cutter for the Winn-Dixie Company in Florida and for the Kroger Company for 20 years. He was a member of the Church of God.

In addition to his mother, Lucy, he is survived by: two daughters, Allison Farmer and Ruby Jean Donahue, both of Louisville; one brother, Paul Hutchison (Carol) of Brandenburg; five sisters, Christine Myrick of Brandenburg, Ky., Marie Corley (Jimmie) of Muldraugh, Ky., Wanda Brown (Ted) of Cocoa, Florida, Ola Jean Moreau (Marty) and Phyllis Coomer (Michael), both of Brandenburg, Ky.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services for James will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. Lindsey Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
