Ora J. Cruse, 82

Ora J. Cruse, 82, of Sunset Avenue, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007.

Mrs. Cruse was born November 7, 1924, in Richmond. She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Jennie Perkins Jones, and the widow of Raymond A. Cruse. Mrs. Cruse was a member of First Baptist Church and the Bethany Sunday School Class. She was retired from the Bluegrass Army Depot.

Survivors include: one son, David (Paula) Cruse of Lexington; one daughter, Vickie (David) Borgmeier of Richmond; four grandchildren, Emily Borgmeier, Jonathan Borgmeier, Nicholas Cruse and Brandon Zega; and one great-grandchild, Rylee Borgmeier. Mrs. Cruse is also survived by her special friends, Mae Conner, Ida Smith, Sharon Kuhn and Lee Holland, as well as a host of other friends and family.

Visitation for Mrs. Cruse will be Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Bro. Bill Fort will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Cruse, Robert Cruse, Dale Conner, Brandon Zega, Jonathan Borgmeier and Jason Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bethany Sunday School Class, Bill Conner and Karl Kuhn.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to: the American Cancer Society or Hospice Care Plus.
