Nathanael Paul Howell, 32

RICHMOND — Nathanael Paul Howell, 32, of Richmond, passed away suddenly Saturday, April 19, 2014, at his home.

He was born December 21, 1981, in Miami, Florida, to David Timothy and Susan Elaine Rowell Howell.

Nathanael was a former employee of Lowe’s, Wendy’s Restaurant and Pizza Hut. He loved playing the drums and he was an avid train and helicopter enthusiast. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents, David and Susan, he is survived by: his sister, Priscilla Suzanne Howell, of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers, John-Michael Joseph Howell (Julia) and Andrew David Howell (Jacqulyn), both of Richmond; his paternal grandparents, Joe and Ann Howell; maternal grandmother, Vannie Rowell; two nieces, Claire and Olivia Howell; and one nephew, Eliyah Howell.

Other survivors include: his aunts, Jane Kershaw, Sarah Holley, Mary Ritchie, Deborah Chamberlain, Jo Ann Tucker and Priscilla Williams; his uncles, John Rowell (Kay), John Howell, Paul Howell, Daniel Howell and Mark Howell; a very special devoted friend, Karen Farson; and numerous cousins.

Nathanael was preceded in death by: one brother, Phillip Mark Howell; his grandfather, Robert O. Rowell; and one aunt, Grace Amanda Howell.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with services at 1 p.m. A private graveside service will follow at the Richmond Cemetery.
