Formerly of Richmond
Michael Philip Owen, 56, formerly of Richmond, and husband of Rosalia Tolentino Owen, passed away October 17, 2012, in the Republic of the Philippines, Manila.
Mike was born June 11, 1956, to Richard Edgar and Maxine Elaine Owen of Sharon, Tenn.
He was an adventuresome spirit who enjoyed scuba diving, motorcycling, roaming the countryside, playing his banjo, hunting, fishing, traveling around the world, or being near the ocean or a body of water to watch the sunrise and sunset. Mike had many accomplishments in life, including serving in the United States Air Force, raising a family, pursuing an education that led to a career in electronic technology with AT&T.
Mr. Owen is survived by: his wife, Rosalia Owen, Manila, Philippines; his children, William Owen and Melissa Owen, Richmond Ky.; three sisters, Sandra Pettey, Red Bay, Ala., Bonnie Macquire, Oak Ridge, Tenn., Brenda Riddick, Greenfield, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Hannah Owen, Haden Owen, Eric Owen and Adam Owen.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a brother, Richard O. Owen.
Private Celebration of Life services will be conducted November 17, 2012, in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Walter Leo Liebengood, 57
Walter Leo Liebengood, 57, was born December 17, 1955, in Flint, Michigan, and passed on September 26, 2013, as a result of a house fire at his log home in Richmond, Kentucky.
Walt embraced the country lifestyle donning blue jeans and a ball cap on nearly every occasion from yard work to graduations and arrived by pickup truck with his dog Buddy by his side. He believed anything could be fixed with duct tape but was a skilled carpenter and log home builder. He was kind to those in need and loved animals. Walt worked at Meijer from high school until his death and functioned as the store union steward for a time in Flint.

Ruth Elma Isaac, 89, of Berea, died suddenly Sunday, March 2, 2014. She is survived by her son, Delbert Leon Isaac, of Berea.
No services were conducted. A memorial board has been set up on Facebook under Sears family for anyone who would like to leave a message.

She was born May 22, 1922, to the late Carradine and Fannie Eades Wall. She was a well-known quilter who made over 100 quilts that she gave to family members and friends. She was of the Methodist faith.
