Janet Maupin, 86, of Kingston, the widow of Lloyd L. Maupin, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Baptist Health - Richmond.

 Janet was born in Akron, Ohio the daughter of the late Arch Kavanaugh and Lucille Bonny Doty, on June 10, 1926.  She lived most of her life in Madison County.

 Janet is survived by her daughter, Dana Maupin Sparks and husband Stan and her son, Lloyd Doty Maupin, all of Madison County, several cousins, a niece, a nephew, and much loved cats, Pumpkin and Prissie.

 In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Arch K. Doty, III, and a niece Sharon.

 Janet was a very active member of Hays Fork Baptist Church, having been a member there for 68 years.  She served in many areas of the church as Sunday school teacher, VBS teacher, Sunbeam and GA leader, WMU and church clerk.

 Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Vincent Carman and Rev. Ronnie "Butch" Pennington officiating.  Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.

 Pallbearers will be Roger Leon Potts, Todd Doty Moberly, William Joseph Armstrong, Vernon Vaught, and Fred Tilsley.

 Honorary bearers will be Ann Potts Overbey, Judy Halcomb Potts, Paula, Leslie and Lara Lee Armstrong, Tommy and Marie Simpson, Matt and Jeannine Lakes, Roger and Anna Jo McClure and Dorothy Jean Dudley.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory are suggested to Hays Fork Baptist Church Bldg. Fund, 4447 Hays Fork Road, Richmond, Kentucky 40475.
