RICHMOND — Etta Faye Taylor, 97, of Poosey Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.

She was born in Madison County, Ky., on May 21, 1916, the daughter of the late Walter and Minerva Masters Sanders.

She was a graduate of Newby High School and was a housewife and farmer. She enjoyed participating in the Extension Service programs and was a long time member of the Cottonburg Homemakers Club. Etta Faye was an active member of the Salem Christian Church and enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Edward Taylor; one brother, Cecil Sanders; and two sisters, Alma Lee Weaver and Valeria Kanatzer.

Survivors include: her son, Deamie Taylor of Poosey Ridge; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Broaddus and Johny Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gordon Cotton, Jimmy Cotton, Randall Winkler, Randall Winkler Jr., Greg Winkler, Earl Broaddus, Bobby Broaddus, Johnny Broaddus, Phil Broaddus and Justin Broaddus.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Collins, Johnny Davis, Joe Reynolds, Dan Reynolds, Doug Warren, Don Moore, Jimmy Collins, Ann Ross & Raymond Anderson and Robbie & Jeanna Taylor.
