Cleona Babb, 100
Cleona Estes Babb, 100, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, in The Terrace nursing facility in Berea.
Mrs. Babb was born October 5, 1912, in Estill, County, Ky., the daughter of the late Harlan and Julie Gordon Estes.
She was a great mother and grandmother. Mrs. Babb was an excellent Christian role model, who always strived to be honest and respectable. She was a member of Westside Christian Church, and she loved her church family dearly.
She is survived by two daughters, Jewell Dean Babb Parke and Darlene Babb Newell (Ronald), both of Waco; two sisters, Delma Ramsey, Richmond, and Laura Estes Coffey, Sand Hill; seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John William Babb; daughter, Shirley Jean Babb Purcell; and two sisters, Rose Alma Murphy and Anna Mae Sams.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Matt Vaught and Rev. Mike Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
Pall bearers will be Wilbur Crowe, Eugene Turner, Steven Madden, Stevie Madden, William Madden, and Ken Wells. Honorary pall bearers will be Michael Madden, Wayne Newell, Jack Neeley, Mike Stull, Mark Campbell, Gary Bryan, and Ed Neeley.

Walter Leo Liebengood, 57
Walter Leo Liebengood, 57, was born December 17, 1955, in Flint, Michigan, and passed on September 26, 2013, as a result of a house fire at his log home in Richmond, Kentucky.
Walt embraced the country lifestyle donning blue jeans and a ball cap on nearly every occasion from yard work to graduations and arrived by pickup truck with his dog Buddy by his side. He believed anything could be fixed with duct tape but was a skilled carpenter and log home builder. He was kind to those in need and loved animals. Walt worked at Meijer from high school until his death and functioned as the store union steward for a time in Flint.

Ruth Elma Isaac, 89, of Berea, died suddenly Sunday, March 2, 2014. She is survived by her son, Delbert Leon Isaac, of Berea.
No services were conducted. A memorial board has been set up on Facebook under Sears family for anyone who would like to leave a message.

Gloranna “Ann” Wall Short, of Madison County, passed away Monday, March 3, at Christian Care Center in Lancaster.
She was born May 22, 1922, to the late Carradine and Fannie Eades Wall. She was a well-known quilter who made over 100 quilts that she gave to family members and friends. She was of the Methodist faith.
