James ‘Butch’ Agee, 63

RICHMOND — James F. “Butch” Agee, 63, of Summit Street, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at his home.

He was born April 14, 1950, in Richmond, Ky., to the late James Edward and Mary Elizabeth Reed Agee.

“Butch” worked as a custodian for the Madison County School system for over 20 years and was a former employee of the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, where he worked for many years.

He is survived by: one daughter, April Agee of Kentucky, one brother, Ray (Teresa) Agee of Richmond, Ky., and one nephew, Brian (Keisha) Agee of Jacksonville, Fla. He is also survived by all of his “children” that he met at Madison Middle during his 20-plus years at the school.

Funeral services for “Butch” will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Fort officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Clark, Steve Tribble, Don Hale, Scott Anderson, Woody Schat, Randy Neeley, David Woosley and Terrell Cobb. Honorary pallbearers will be his family at Madison Middle School.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
