Sue Etta Brock, age 73, of Cynthiana, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Cedar Ridge Health Care in Cynthiana.
She was born in Rockcastle County to the late James Foster Thomas and Annie Peters Thomas. She was a member of the Grace Apostolic Church and a retired nurse’s aid.
Mrs. Brock is survived by: her daughter, Linda Faye Shelton (Jeff) of Cynthiana; son Ira Brock Jr. (Marian) of Cynthiana; sisters Judy Tucker (Mike) of Paris, Phyllis Chasteen of Lexington; brothers James Thomas of Lawrenceburg, Preston Thomas of Madison, Ind.; her grandchildren, Rachael Thomas, Steven Hardy, Teresa Feeback and Sandra J. Brock; four great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Brock, and a brother, Ed Thomas.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brock will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cartersville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral time on Friday.

She was born May 22, 1922, to the late Carradine and Fannie Eades Wall. She was a well-known quilter who made over 100 quilts that she gave to family members and friends. She was of the Methodist faith.
