David Burnam “Dock” Miller, 81, of Peytontown, beloved husband, father and grandfather departed this life, Saturday evening, Dec. 1, 2012 at Baptist Health.
Mr. Miller was born on Sept. 19, 1931, in Madison County, the son of the late Arthur and Katie Burnam Miller. He was a member of the Peytontown Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon for nearly 50 years. He was a Master Mason of the Masonic Order and was a member of the Layman’s Association.
He was a tobacco farmer for many years and had retired from the Bluegrass Army Depot. After his retirement, he continued to work and volunteer at the New Liberty Family Homeless Shelter until his death.
He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife of 59 years Betty; four daughters, Kathy, Ann, Theodora and Helen (William); two sons, David and John (Barbara); two sisters, Olivia Yarbrough and Eve Ogletree; one brother, Herbert Miller (Lisa); one brother-in-law, James Tevis (Carolynn); one sister-in-law, Naomi Miller; 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Smith, and five siblings, Charles Jenkins, Katherine Lee, Jennie Holmes, Burdella Cructher and Chester Miller.
Funeral Services will be conducted at noon Friday at the Peytontown Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday morning at the church.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Letcher, Otha Chenault, Phil Jenkins, John David Black, Calvin Mitchell and fellow lodge members of the Ashler Lodge.
The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, at Miller Memorial Gardens in Miller, Ohio.
Walter Leo Liebengood, 57
Walter Leo Liebengood, 57, was born December 17, 1955, in Flint, Michigan, and passed on September 26, 2013, as a result of a house fire at his log home in Richmond, Kentucky.
Walt embraced the country lifestyle donning blue jeans and a ball cap on nearly every occasion from yard work to graduations and arrived by pickup truck with his dog Buddy by his side. He believed anything could be fixed with duct tape but was a skilled carpenter and log home builder. He was kind to those in need and loved animals. Walt worked at Meijer from high school until his death and functioned as the store union steward for a time in Flint.

Ruth Elma Isaac, 89, of Berea, died suddenly Sunday, March 2, 2014. She is survived by her son, Delbert Leon Isaac, of Berea.
No services were conducted. A memorial board has been set up on Facebook under Sears family for anyone who would like to leave a message.
