McArthur Scott, 66, of Berea, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at his home after a battle with cancer.
He was born May 5, 1947, in Owsley County, the son of the late Charley and Fannie Madden Scott. He was a masonry contractor and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include: his wife of 44 years, Letha; two daughters, Lisa (Steve) Garrobo, of Lexington, and Robyn (Steve) Koger, of Monticello, Ky; and three grandsons.
Other survivors include: three sisters, Lola Taylor, of Dearborn Heights, Mich., Lily Scott, of Booneville and Linda Gross, of Sarasota, Fla.; two brothers, Wayne Scott of Richmond, Jesse Scott of Taylor, Mich., and many nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Jonathan Anderson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two sisters, Eula Mason and Martha Shackleford; and one brother, Lucin Finley Scott.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Owen Moody officiating.
Burial will follow in Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Jonathan Anderson, Dalton Moody, Edward Mullins, Steve Sowers, David Sowers and Joel Pike.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Roscoe Madden, Charley Madden, Leo Madden and Ronnie Anderson.
