RICHMOND — Judy Ann Sparks, 64, of Irvine, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.

She was born Oct. 8, 1948, in Scott County, Va., to Enoch Eugene Lawson and the late Lilly Beatrice Lane Lawson. She was a retired factory worker. Judy was of the Baptist faith, a member of AARP and ASPCA Animal Rescue.                

Survivors include: her husband, Larry Sparks of Irvine; two sons, Larry Christopher Sparks of Columbus, Ind., and Dewey Allen Sparks (Lisa Marie) of Lancaster; one daughter, Tabitha Marie Sparks of Irvine; eight grandchildren, Jessica Marie Sparks, Sean Michael Biggs, John Edward Morrison, Nathaniel Allen Sparks, Noah Alexander Sparks, Clara Grace Sparks, Lacey Elizabeth Sparks and Chelsea Sparks; one brother, Kenneth Lawson (Brenda) of Richmond; and one sister Caroline Bertram (David) of Richmond.

Funeral services for Judy Ann Sparks will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at the funeral home.
