Mary Elizabeth Sallee Wells, 82

Winchester — Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sallee Wells, 82, of Winchester, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014, at the Clark Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Wells was born in Madison County on May 18, 1931, to the late Freeman and Scottie Prewitt Sallee.

A homemaker who also enjoyed working on the farm, she was a member of the Allensville Baptist Church.

She is survived by: her husband of 63 years, Dean Wells; two sons, John Scott Wells and wife Peggy, and Christopher Dean Wells; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann “Betsy” Burkett and husband Eddie, Nancy Carol Ellis and husband Eddie, and Bertha Sue Pedersen; her sister, Ruby Long; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Sallee, and her sister, Jane Click.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 West Main St., Richmond. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Winchester. Visitation will resume 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home in Richmond until service time.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Mouyeos, Bob Bucher, Matthew Scheuneman, Eddie Ellis, Mike Sallee and Eddie Burkett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Taulbee, William Allen Prewitt, Garry Click, Boyd Dalton, Carl McKinney and Doug Abner.
