Myrtle Lee Pitcher Mason, 83, formerly of Waco, the widow of Evans “Tojo” Mason, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013, in Baptist Health of Richmond.

She was born on June 5, 1929, in Madison County, the daughter of the late Edward Sr. and Bernice Cain Pitcher.  She was a retired surgical sterilization technician at Pattie A. Clay Hospital and a former employee of Westinghouse Corporation.

She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother; her family meant the world to her. She was a member of the Flatwoods Christian Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Pamela Mason Lunsford (Doug); three grandchildren, Brittany Stevenson (Matt), Jared Lunsford and Lincoln Lunsford; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by: three brothers, Owen Pitcher, Harold Pitcher and Edward Pitcher Jr., and a twin sister, Madeline Pitcher.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Vice and Bro. Tim Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

A private family burial service will be conducted at the Flatwoods Cemetery in Waco.
