Marjorie Hylton, 86
Mrs. Marjorie G. Hylton, 86, of Berea died on Wednesday Oct. 31, 2012.
Mrs. Hylton taught home economics at Madison Central High School and at Berea College until her retirement. She was still a member of the Madison County Retired Teachers Association and also a member of the Berea United Methodist Church, where she had been very active.
Her parents were Robert G. Gabbard and Laura Hurley Gabbard of Big Hill. She was predeceased by her husband Elihu G. Hylton, her parents and one sister Minerva Tieche.
She is survived by two sisters Lillie (Kenneth) Parsons of Brodhead, and Frances (Wallace) Baird of Walkertown, N.C., four brothers Lee Hurley (Doris) Gabbard of Conway, Don (Joyce) Gabbard of Mt. Vernon, Ray Glynn (Brenda) Gabbard of Crab Orchard and Hugh Benton (Marilee) Gabbard of Richmond. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday November 2, 2012, at the Berea United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Rowan and Rev. Lee Hubbard officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 1p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery.
Donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Hylton to the Berea United Methodist Church, 101 Fee Street, Berea, KY 40403.

He is survived locally by a nephew, Paul (Angi) Smith, and a niece, Jennifer Howard, of Berea.

Raymond M. Reams, 91, of Richmond, husband of Gladys Goodlett Reams, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She was born in Lexington, Ky., September 30, 1958, to the late John Arnold Wethington and Rachel Elizabeth Watkins Hager.

Gloranna “Ann” Wall Short, of Madison County, passed away Monday, March 3, at Christian Care Center in Lancaster.
She was born May 22, 1922, to the late Carradine and Fannie Eades Wall. She was a well-known quilter who made over 100 quilts that she gave to family members and friends. She was of the Methodist faith.

Wesley Ray “Jack” Masters Sr., 79, of Richmond, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Masters was born September 20, 1934, in Madison County to Robert and Dolly Miller Masters. He never met a stranger and always enjoyed cutting up.
