RICHMOND — Kathy Sue Sweeney, 52, of Richmond, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013, at Baptist Health-Richmond.

She was born in Madison County on September 12, 1961, to Carlos and Joyce Phillips Marcum. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Tracy Sweeney; her mother, Joyce Phillips Renfo of Richmond; two brothers, Wayne Marcum and companion Jamie Hagens, and Jimmy Marcum; two sisters, Barbara McElroy and husband Paul, and Karen Jones and husband Rusty; two sisters-in-law, Rose Boular and husband James, and Linda Roberts and companion Albert Kurtz; her brother-in-law, Buddy King; special friend, Charles Murphy; her nieces and nephews; and her dog, Winnie.

Mrs. Sweeney is preceded in death by: her father, Carlos Marcum; her stepfather, Floyd Renfro; and a nephew, Phillip McElroy.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Himes officiating. Burial will follow in the Eaton Cemetery of Clay City.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Barbee, Ron Barbee, Jimmy Wayne Marcum, Rusty Jones, Matthew McElroy and Whaylen Conner.
