Marvin Richardson, 66

RICHMOND — Marvin Richardson, 66, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.

He was born on August 4, 1944, in Madison County, Ky. Marvin was a retired truck driver, and being an outdoors person, he enjoyed his farming and the farmer's markets during his retirement. He attended the services of both, the Doylesville United Methodist Church and the Bybee United Methodist Church.

Marvin is survived by: his loving wife, Wanda Anglin Richardson of Waco; his son, Brian Richardson (Lora) of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother, Jessie Lee Kaylor Richardson of Waco; one sister, Jewell Foster of St. Petersburg, Fla. He also leaves: one granddaughter, Abigail Richardson; one niece, Donna Willis (Ned) of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one great-niece, Ashley Willis; and one great-nephew, Kristofer Foster.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Matt Richardson; and one nephew, Tony Foster.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Pastors Allene Coon and Bobby Casey officiating. Burial will follow in Flatwoods Cemetery, Waco.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be James Kaylor, Glen Richardson, Lester Anglin, Bradley Southworth, Jerry Anglin and Thomas Anglin. Honorary bearers will be Jesse Powell, Bob Casey, Irving Whicker and Gene Webb.

Donations are suggested to: the Hospice Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, KY 40475.
