Nancy Leah Killen, 70

RICHMOND — Nancy Leah Killen, 70, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ, at 4:20 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013.

She was born July 31, 1943, the first daughter of John and Helen Killen, both of whom preceded her in death.

Nancy attended the School of Hope, RADC, MARC Center, Rainbow Respite Camp, New Haven Bible Camp and for the last 12 years was a part of the Chransye Inc.

She was an avid bowler and won many trophies and medals through Special Olympics. She loved going to the Jesus Prom every year at Southland Christian Church. Nancy put her trust and faith in Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She loved going to church and listening to Bible stories.

She is survived by: two sisters, Judith Killen and Candy Konkler; one nephew, Jonathon (Sarah) Nelson; two nieces, Alesha (Arshad) Iqbal and Sarah (Bubby) Marrs; and four great-nephews, Isaac Iqbal, Landen, Logan and Lucas Marrs.

A special thanks goes to the many caregivers of Chransye Inc. who loved her for many years, to Vadis Glass, a very special friend, and to hospice.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with visitation from 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Arshad Iqbal, Jonathon Nelson, Bubby Marrs, David Nelson, Isaac Larison and Adam Ashcraft.
