BEREA — Emma Stringfield, 84, formerly of Oak Street, Berea, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at The Terrace.

Emma was born in Estill County to the late Joseph and Lottie Sexton.

She was retired from Parker Seal Company and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two children, Judy Stringfield and Larry Stringfield; and four siblings, Elmer Sexton, Charles Sexton, Garfield Sexton and Elsie Puckett.

She is survived by: her children, Diane “Cookie” (Joe) Harris of Perry County, John (Lisa) Stringfield, Cathy (Carl) Broaddus and Lisa (Keith) Miller, all of Berea; two brothers, Ben Sexton and Donald Sexton; seven grandchildren, Amy Bartlett, Jamey Stringfield, Carrie Hockensmith, Kyle Broaddus, Cory Stringfield, Samantha Fish and Janna Stringfield; and two great-grandchildren, Maddey Stringfield and Brayden Fish.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John Hockensmith, Jamey Stringfield, Cory Stringfield, Kyle Broaddus and Zack Fish.
