RICHMOND — Ethel Mae Lamb Robb, 91, of Richmond, widow of William Dunn “Bill” Robb, passed away Tuesday morning, April 16, 2013, in the Hospice Compassionate Care Center.

Mrs. Robb, daughter of the late Charles Elmer and Viola Agee Lamb, was born on October 5, 1921 in Madison County.

Her church and her family were the most important aspects of her life. A member of the First Baptist Church for over 70 years, she had taught Sunday school for over 45 years, starting with the eight year olds and later with the adults. She was currently a member of the Bethany Sunday School Class. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a dear friend to all who knew her.

Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law, Dolores “Dee” Robb Parks (Gene); one brother, Dr. Charles R. Lamb of Clarksville, Ind.; three grandchildren, Alexis Parks Kays (Joey) of Richmond, Timothy William Smith (Sarah) of Charleston, W.Va., and Zachary David Smith of Greenville, N.C.;  two great-grandsons, Jordan Robb Kays and Cory Asher Kays; two nephews, Dr. David K. Lamb and Bill Spenny (Gesslyn); special family members Anna Katherine Rayburn, Hubert Wiseman and Ann Elizabeth Perry.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Lynn Robb Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted  1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church with Pastors Bill Fort and Joey Kays officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Bethany Sunday School Class as well as Doyle and Betty Fritz, David and Jeannine Parks, Thelma Sebastian, Jeanette Johnson, Joe and Barbara Kays, Hubert Wiseman, Don Moore, J.T. Sowders, Dale Lakes, Irvine Whicker, Gary Parks and Bill Hensley.
