Robert Reams, 87
Robert Daniel Reams, 87, widower of Dorothy Reams, passed away December 2, 2008, at the Terrace in Berea.
He was born December 31, 1920, in Madison County, to Charles E. and Myrtle Cottingin Reams. Mr. Reams spent his whole life here as a farmer and was a member of the Union City Baptist Church.
His survivors include: two sons, Ronald (Brenda) Reams, Charles (Kim) Reams; and one daughter, Dianna (Mike) Eirich, all of Richmond; four brothers, John (Pat) Reams of Colorado, Raymond (Gladys) Reams of Florida, Doug (Donna) Reams of Richmond, and Ralph (Joyce) Reams of Richmond; three sisters, Martha Jackson of Richmond, Florene Johnson of Oklahoma and Helen Prewitt of Georgetown, Ky.; one granddaughter, Cassi Reams; sister-in-law, Thelma Reams of Richmond; and special lifetime friend, Shirley Long.
He was preceded in death by: one brother, Earl Reams; and three sisters, Minnie White, Alene Rhodus and Wilma Hoskins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Brown and the Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday, December 6, 2008.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Elswick, Kenneth Elswick, Allen Jackson, Bruce Prewitt, Eddie Reams and Gary Reams.
