Ruth Eschbach, 92
Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach, 92, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at the Terrace Nursing Facility in Berea.
Ruth was born in Beijing, China, to the late John Herman and Mary Bushnell Wylie. Ruth was an active member of Union Church, the Progress Club, AAUW, Women’s Club and a Hospital Auxiliary member.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands: the Rev. Carl Eschbach and the Rev. Donald Zimmerman; a sister, Sarah E. Wylie; and daughter, Margaret Eschbach Freeman.
Ruth is survived by: her children, Sally “Sarah” Zimmerman of Louisville, Richard C. Zimmerman of Pembroke, Ga., James Eschbach of Dayton, Ohio, and Bob Eschbach of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Martha Pride of Berea, Ky.; a brother, John H. (Mary) Wylie Jr., of Grayling, Mich.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren also survive Ruth.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Union Church. Memorial services will be Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Union Church in Berea, with the Rev. Kent Gilbert and the Rev. Margaret Pride officiating.
