Hugh Johnson, 67
Hugh Edward Johnson, 67, husband of Juanita Sibert Johnson, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008, in Saint Joseph Hospital.
He was born September 3, 1940, in Estill County to the late Luckes and Bettie Rison Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a blacksmith and horse trainer and was a member of The Kentucky Walking Horse Assoc. He loved gardening, flowers, fishing and being with children.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: one daughter, Tanya (Bryan) Strickland of Easley, S.C.; his special great niece, Cassie Judd; his “special” children, whom he helped raise, Michael Baker, Dustin Isaacs, Sue Harrison, Janie Isaacs, Misty Isaacs; one brother, L.B. Johnson of LaPort, Ind.; four sisters, Louise Baker of Savage, Md., Vada Tribble of Hobbs, N.M., Brenda (Jerry) Williams of Berea, Ky., Bessie Durbin of Richmond, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug York officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be John Williams, Jerry Williams, Elmer Perkins, Sonda Mize, Chris Mize and Dustin Isaacs.
