Stella McKee, 85
Stella Mae McKee, 85, of Kidwell Lane in Waco passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center in Richmond. Born March 16, 1923, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Jennie Ray Simpson. She was the wife of Raymond T. McKee. Mrs. McKee was the oldest living member of Gilbert’s Creek Baptist Church in Garrard County. She was a homemaker, seamstress, and farmer. She was member of the Madison County Homemaker’s Club.
In addition to her husband, she leaves behind one son, Dannie T. McKee of Verona, Kentucky; two daughters, Jennifer McKee (Ronnie J.) Sparks of Irvine and Diane (John) Holslag of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh Simpson, Jr. and James Simpson; and one sister, Joetta Adams.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2008, at Ramsey Funeral Home with Bro. Morris Trayner officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Vickers, Ohmer Russell Gabbard, Gary Owens, Jerry Preston, Ronnie Sparks and Daniel T. McKee. Visitation will be conducted from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2008, at the funeral home. Ramsey Funeral Home in Lancaster is in charge of arrangements.
