Hilda Alexander, 76
Hilda Edna Alvey Alexander, 76, of Smith Village, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 5, 2009, in the Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Alexander was born April 3, 1933. in Edge Water, Md., to the late Edward and Margaret Alvey. She was a babysitter and a grandmother to a host of children for many years.
Survivors include: one brother, Gordon Alvey of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister: Geraldine Hatfield of Roanoke, Virg.; three grandchildren, Nelson Alexander, Gina Lowery and Canie Lowery; and one great grandchild, C.J. Lowery, Jr.
Mrs. Alexander was also preceded in death by: two daughters, Erma Lowery and Margaret Aylean Alexander; and two brothers, Joe and Dick Alvey.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a. m. Wednesday at the Richmond Cemetery with Bro. Cecil Burns officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Canie Lowery, Michael Murphy, Joey Estes, Bobby Maggard, Alan McKinney and Gary Johnson. www.cpcfh.com
