Phillip Thomas Mosier, 79

Phillip Thomas Mosier, 79, a lifelong resident of Cartersville, Ky., died Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Saint Joseph Berea Hospital in Berea, Ky.
He was born September 28, 1929, in Garrard County, Ky., to the late Jennings B. and Katie Clark Mosier. He was a longtime member of White Lick Baptist Church, was a Garrard County farmer and retired from the Blue Grass Army Depot. He was also a member of the Cartersville Ruritan Club.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 52 years, Wanda Robinson Mosier; two sons, Bobby (Cathy) Mosier of Berea and Tom (Leigh Ann) Mosier of Cartersville; two daughters, Virginia (Dale) Abbott and Becky (Rick) Wilmot, also of Cartersville; four sisters, Ruth (George) Dobrovich, Nina Tyler, Mattie Mosier and June (Billy) Curtis. His pride and joy were seven grandchildren: Emily (Dustin) Harrison, Zachary Mosier, Kaleigh Mosier, Brianna Wilmot, Kaleb Mosier, Kara Mosier and Ryan Wilmot, who also survive him.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by: four brothers, Kenneth, Gilbert, Herman and John Mosier.
Active pallbearers will be his nephews Rodney Himes, Steven Himes, Anthony Himes, Charlie Bolling, Brian Tyler and Kendall Robinson.
Honorary bearers will be Dexter Turner, John Harrison, Harold Renfro, Bert Watkins, John Tom Clark, Jason Himes, Duane Bratcher, Ronnie Bratcher and Wayne Sparks.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at White Lick Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in Cartersville Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lakes Funeral Home.
