C.J. Saylor, 77

— C.J. Saylor, 77, of Okeechobee, Fla., died Saturday, May 10, 2008.
C.J. was born in Madison County to the late Fusion and Margaret Hoskins Saylor. He was very active in Boy Scouts of America before his retirement from Hill Floral Products in Cincinnati, Ohio. After his retirement, C.J. loved being outdoors; he enjoyed boating and fishing while he resided in Florida. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by: his wife of 57 years, Jeanne Lear Saylor; his children, Beverly Jean (Cecil) Arnold of Cincinnati, Ohio, William Michael Saylor of Garland, Texas, John (Anna) Gordon Saylor of Stockbridge, Ga., and Robie L. Saylor of Sarasota, Fla.; six brothers and sisters, Christine Custer, Genise Bullock, W.A. Saylor, Charles Saylor, Patricia Rettman and Carolyn Sloe; nine grandchildren, Jamie, Binki, Stephen, Allisa, Megan, Thomas, Chris, Amanda and Tim; and two great-grandsons, Jayden and Cade.
In addition to his parents, C.J. also was preceded in death by: one son, Clemeth Saylor; three sisters, Ruth, Betty and Thelma; and one brother, Oscar.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with the Rev. Bill Bales and the Rev. Aaron Bullock officiating. Burial will follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
