Pamela Georgia Gail Childress, 56, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the UK Markey Cancer Center.
Ms. Childress was born November 23, 1951 in Madison County. She was the daughter of Imogene Wise Karnes and the step-daughter of James Karnes.
Survivors include: two sons, Scott Childress (Chris) of Toronto, Canada, Jake Childress (Tina) of Richmond; step-father, Jim Karnes; one brother, Billy Rice (Carolyn), of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Carolyn Thompkins (Benny) and Randa Rice, both of Lexington; and four grandchildren, Avery, Olivia, Evan, and Jacob Childress.
She is preceded in death by her mother: Imogene Wise Karnes.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis McCowan officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison Co. Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
