BOWLING: Friday leagues merge at Galaxy

FRANKFORT — The Friday Night Mixed and TGIF leagues have bowled simultaneously at opposite ends of Galaxy’s lanes on Friday nights for the past seven years.

These leagues have agreed to merge into one 12-team league for this season. This will result in a stronger league and an accompanying increase in the prize fund.

The TGIF league had bowled at the Maroon Lanes for several years, but the league had to move to Galaxy when that facility closed in February 2007.

The top scores in this league on the opening night are noted in the league highlights section.
