The Madison Central Lady Indians placed fifth Saturday in the MCHS Invitational at The Battlefield Golf Course.
The Lady Indians, which finished with a team total 374, were led by sophomore Tristyn Nowlin who shot a 74.
Seventh grader Mackenzie Neal carded the second best score for the Lady Indians with an 82, while sixth grader Mattie Neeley finished with a 107, sophomores Paige Stamper and Kailey Boyer each finished with 111.
Calloway County took home the team title with a 293, while Marshal County was second at 317 and Dunbar was third at 326.
Calloway County’s Anna Hack won the individual title, carding a 64, Kristin Engle of Barbourville was second at 72, Bailey Tyree of Marshall County was third with a 72 and LCA’s Gypsie Hutchinson was fourth with a 74.
Central boys 16th at The Classic
The Indians finished 16th in the 20-team field at The Classic Saturday at Kerney Hills Golf Links in Lexington.
Central shot a team total +36, 324 on the day.
Zach Miller carded the top score for the Indians with a +6, 78 to finish in a six-way tie for 37th.
Burgess Clark was next with a -9, 81, tied for 57th, Carter Skipworth had a +10, 82, Trent Renfron had a +11, 83 and Jordan Adams finished at +16, 88.
Covington Catholic won the team title with a +9, 297, one shot better than second place Scott County.
Scott County’s Billy Tom Sargent won the individual title with a five-under-par 67.
