H.S. GOLF: Central takes fifth place at Rebel Challenge

RICHMOND — The Madison Central boys golf team got strong performances from Zach Miller and Carter Skipworth Monday at the Rebel Challenge at the Bridge in Danville.

Skipworth and Miller both shot +3, 75, and finished in a tie for 11th place as the Indians took fifth place. Central shot a combined total of +29, 317, and finished just two shots behind Taylor County (+27).

Christian Academy of Louisville (+26) finished third, Corbin (+17) was second and St. Xavier took the team title with a +3. 291.

Brendon Doyle of St. Xavier took the individual title with a score of -6, 66.

Central’s Burgess Clark shot a +10, 82, and finished tied for 39th. Trent Renfro shot a +13, 85, and tied for 49th while Jordan Adams shot a +14, 86, and tied for 53rd.
