RICHMOND — Bryan Station rallied to late to pull even, but the Indians came up with some extra-inning heroics Friday at Don Richardson Field in Richmond.

Chris Wells singled to lead-off the eighth inning and later scored the game-winning run on a Seth Richardson single, giving Madison Central a 7-6 win.

The Indians (15-8) had a three-run lead after three innings, but the Defenders scored twice in the fifth and once in the seventh to force extra innings.

Jeremy Lakes pitched the final four innings for Central and earned the win. He allowed three runs (two earned) and five hits while striking out three.

Jake Caldwell had a hit, scored a run and added three RBI. Ben Fisher was 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Central was out-hit 10-7 by Station and did not have an extra-base hit.

Central scored four more times in the second. Nick Kavanuagh singled, Lakes was hit by a pitch and Wells walked to load the bases. Caldwell drew a walk to force in a run and then Wright was hit by a pitch, giving the Indians a 3-0 lead.

Fisher ripped a single to center that scored two more runs.

After Station scored four times in the top of the third, Central added two runs in the bottom of the inning. Lakes and Wells walked, then Caldwell delivered a two-run single.
