H.S. HOOPS: Pirates lose, Lady Pirates victorious

The Berea Community Pirates fell to visiting Williamsburg Tuesday 74-69.

The Yellow Jackets led from start to finish, holding a 14-12 lead after one quarter.

The Pirates fought back to tie the score at 21-21 at the half, but Williamsburg outscored Berea 22-16 in the third quarter to take 43-37 lead.

The Yellow Jackets extended their lead in the fourth, outscoring Berea 15-10 for the final score.

Three Pirates scored in double figures led by Nolan Sweet with 21 points. Daniel Hubbard added 14 points, while Andy Allen had 13 and Trey Terrill had 10.

Eli Woodie finished with eight points and Dustin Kates had three.



Lady Pirates 60

Beth Haven 19

The Lady Pirates picked up their fifth consecutive win with a 60-19 blowout of Beth Haven in Louisville Tuesday.

Jordan Sandifur led the way for the Lady Pirates with 19 points. Alex Horn had 16 and Chase Fain added 11.

Victoria Sexton had six points, Ashley Sizemore and Hannah Craycraft had four each.
