H.S. HOOPS: Kentucky splits with Ohio All-Stars

RICHMOND — Madison Central stars Dominique Hawkins and Ken-Jah Bosley and the Kentucky All-Stars suffered a 106-98 loss to the Ohio All-Stars in the annual border game Saturday at Thomas More College.

Bosley finished with 17 points, including two three-pointers, while Mr. Basketball Hawkins finished with 14 points. MiKyle McIntosh lead the Kentucky All-Stars with 18 points. Montgomery County’s Omar Prewitt had five points.

Hawkins will play in the Derby Festival Classic in Freedom Hall Friday.

The Kentucky All-Stars defeated Ohio in the girls game 113-76. Central’s Larryn Brooks had 6 points for Kentucky, while teammate Ashton Feldhaus finished with 12 points.

On Friday, Brooks took part in the “Slam Jam All-Star Night of Stars” festivities. She teamed up with Kentucky Miss Basketball Makayla Epps and Leah Schaeffer to win the 3-on-3 competition and also won the Three-Point Shootout for the Kentucky All-Stars.
