BASEBALL: Richmond National and American All-Stars pick up wins


RICHMOND — 9-10 All-Stars

Richmond National improved to 2-0 in pool play with 6-1 win over the Winchester All-Stars Tuesday at the District 3 Tournament in Lawrenceburg.

Four pitched combined to throw a no-hitter for Richmond.

Zac Cowan pitched the first inning, then Bryce Snapp and Noah Eastham each pitched two innings. Braeden Ray pitched the final inning.

In the first inning, Aiden Carter walked and late stole home.

In the second inning, Ethan Bailey singled.

In the third inning, Carter walked and scored run, Cowan singled and stole home and Snapp added a run-scoring single.

In the fifth inning, Nate Moore was hit by a pitch, Carter singled, Cowan walked and Snapp delivered a two-run single.

In the sixth inning, Selicity Broaddus doubled and scored on a single by Eastham.

Richmond National will wrap up pool play Thursday at 1 p.m. against Eastern American in Lawrenceburg.


The Richmond 11-year-old All-Stars slipped to 0-2 in pool play after suffering a 10-0 loss to Eastern National in District 3 Tournament Tuesday action in Lawrenceburg.

The team will wrap up pool play Friday against Harrison County.
