NCAA BASKETBALL: Bosley honored by G-MAC

RICHMOND — Kentucky Wesleyan’s Ken-Jah Bosley was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday after leading his team to a perfect 3-0 week while averaging a team-high 23 points per game.

Bosley, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound, freshman from Richmond, raised his overall scoring average to 17.5 points per game, which ranks fourth in the league this season.

He has scored 193 points this season, third most in the conference. He has made most of his impact off the bench, starting just five of the teams 11 games.

This past week, Bosley came off the bench in wins over Illinois-Springfield and Ohio Valley. He scored a game-high 20 points in 31 minutes against Illinois-Springfield, and a game-high 24 points to go with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in only 24 minutes against OVU in the team’s first-ever men’s G-MAC game.

Bosley helped KWC move to 2-0 in the conference with a start against Salem International. In 30 minutes of action he tied his career high with 25 points. He shot 10-of-12 from the free throw line and added a trio of three-pointers.
