H.S. BASEBALL: Central standouts honored

MADISON COUNTY — Madison Central baseball players Ben Morin, Ben Fisher and Jimmy Wright have each been selected to participate in postseason events this week in Louisville.

Fisher and Wright will play in the senior showcase game on Wednesday at Pleasure Ridge Park.

Morin will take part in the sophomore showcase, which is scheduled for today at PRP. This is the fourth-straight year a Central player has been selected to participate in the sophomore event.

In addition to being named to the senior showcase teams, Fisher and Wright recently picked up all-state honors.

Wright, a catcher who has signed with Morehead State, was a second-team all-state selection, while Fisher, who has signed with EKU, was a third-team all-state selection.

Central Pitcher-catcher camp               set for Wednesday

The Madison Central baseball team will play host to a camp for pitchers and catchers on Wednesday and Thursday at the school.

The camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon.
