H.S. WRESTLING: Central wrestlers take third at Dunbar Duals

RICHMOND — The Madison Central wrestling team finished third Saturday at the first-ever Dunbar Duals.

Standout performances were turned in by several wrestlers, including Chris Morrow. The freshman (126 pounds) finishing the day with a 3-1 record, with the only setback a 4-0 loss to the 11th-ranked wrestler from Tennessee.

Darion Coleman (junior, 145 pounds) had a 3-1 record at the event. Storm Savage (160 pounds) had three wins and his only loss was to the fourth-ranked wrestler from Tennessee.

Junior Logan Thomas made weight for the first time this season at 195 pounds and went 3-1. Tucker Fair (220 pounds) and heavyweight Paul Couch went undefeated on the day with no opponents making it out the first period. Fair and Couch are both ranked in the top five in their weight class in the state.

The team’s next match is Saturday at home. Matches are set to start at 10 a.m.
