H.S. TRACK: Central athletes set new school records

LOUISVILLE — Madison Central athletes set four new school records Saturday during the KHSAA Class 3A state track meet at the University of Louisville.

The girls 4x800 relay team of Kaitlin Eckman, Sarah Franklin, Shadae Bosley and Gabriella Sabino finished fourth in a new record time of 10:04.25.

The girls 4x200 relay team of Alexis Conner, Kristen Parsley, Maryssa Stewart and Larryn Brooks set a new record of 1:34.99 on the way to an eighth-place finish.

Stewart also set a school record in the triple jump with a leap of 36-09.5. She finished third in the event.

Brandon Parks had the highest finish by any Central athlete with his second place finish in the shot put with a school record toss of 44-09.75. He also placed 12th in the discus with a throw of 134-02.

Sam Jones was the top Central finisher in the discus with an eighth-place finish with a throw of 144-09.

Daniel Guy also had a good day for the Indians, finishing fifth in the high jump and 15th in the triple jump with a leap of 41-02.75.

Alexis Conner followed up her strong performance in last week’s region with an eighth-place finish in the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 48.66 and a 10th-place finish in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 16.47.

Two other Indians also had top 10 finishes. Larryn Brooks placed ninth in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.75 and Meghan Clemmons was 10th in the shot put with a personal best throw of 34-09.25.

Other Central finishers were:

Gabrielle Sabino, 11th in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:25.49

Brennan Fields, 13th in the 3,200 meter run in a time of 9:56.11, an 16th in the 1,600 meter run in a time of 4:35.79

The boys 4x800 team of Zach Jarvis, Mason Crump, Griffin Sexton and Maxwell Snyder, 14th with a time of 8:28.71

The boys 4x200 relay team of Daniel Parke, Johan Williams, Levi Knutson and Korrion Crier, 19th in a time of 1:34.99

Julia Manning, 20th in the 3,200 meter run in a time of 12:41.47

Levi Knutson, 21st in the 300 hurdles in a time of 44.21

Shadae Bosley, 22nd in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.52

The girls 4x400 team of Alexis Conner, Shadae Bosley, Gabriella Sabino and Riley Lane, 22nd in a time of 4:19.95

The boys 4x400 relay team of Jarvis, Hatchett, Parke and Crier, 22nd in a time of 3:46.25

The girls 4x100 relay team of Raychell Estenson, Riley Lane, Lizzy Fort and Kristen Parsley, 23rd with a time of 52.64

Courtney Harrison, 27th in the pole vault with vault of 6-06.
