H.S. BASKETBALL: Lady Indians fall in Paris, Pirates, Lady Pirates drop tournament games

Pirates at Rock Holiday Classic

The Berea Community boys basketball team dropped its second game in Florida Saturday, 70-42 to host school Venice.

Despite the two lopsided losses, Berea coach Cameron Jackson said the experience for his players makes it very worthwhile.

“We’re playing some teams that are very good. But the guys have a lot of things going on down here, so they are not playing as well as they usually do. But it’s a great experience for them,” he said. “They are getting a good learning experience. Some of these kids may not ever get a chance to come down here, to experience things like this. It’s great to be able to give them this bonding experience as a team.”
